Streets Alive Family Fun Day

Location: Seafarers Way from Fort Street to Merrendale Drive and Cardinall Avenue

Time: 1:00 to 5:00pm

  • This event turns the street into a shared space for walking, cycling, play and learning how we can all use our roads safely – together
  • Children are encouraged to bring their bicycles and ride on the road in a shared, protected space
  • Families can participate in our live demonstrations and interact with road safety and emergency professionals such as the
    • National Roads Authority – Seeing road safety through road design and engineering and maintenance professionals 
    • Royal Cayman Islands Police – Road safety enforcement professionals and First Responders Police Service in the Cayman Islands - Royal Cayman Islands Police Service
    • Health Services Association - Post Crash Response Cayman Islands Health Services Authority | HSA
    • Cayman Islands Fire Service – First Responders Fire Service - Ministry of District Administration & Home Affairs - CIG
    • 911 - Emergency Management Services 
    • Department of Vehicle and Drivers’ Licensing – Road safety, licensing and there to provide information on E-bikes and E-scooters  https://www.dvdl.gov.ky/
    • Cayman Motoring Federation – Road Safety from a Motor Sport perspective  Welcome - Cayman Motoring Federation
    • Cayman Islands National Insurance Company – recently launched motor insurance CINICO Safe Driver Programme | Learn Safer Driving Skills | CINICO
  • Demonstrations on: Jaws of Life Demonstration – real car being used and cut by the Cayman Islands Fire Services, Crosswalk Safety, Speed Radars, Breathalyzers, Riding a Bike Safely, How to direct traffic, CPR Demonstrations, 911 Coordination
  • Touch a Truck: Displays and Photo Opportunities with Fire Trucks, Police Cars, Police Motorbikes, Ambulance, concept cars, fantasy cars, trucks, etc
  • Games: Road Safety Games, Bouncy Castles, Mini Golf, Inflatable Games: Soccer, Basketball, Archery
  • Special attraction for Teenagers: Games Truck, Disco Dome, Car Show
  • For Car Enthusiasts: Car Show featuring cars, trucks and much more (a Cars and Caffeine Production by Tony’s Toys)
  • Simulations: E Sport Motor Sport Simulator by Cayman Motoring Federation
  • Party Tent: FREE Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Snowcones
  • Food Trucks – food and snacks available at a cost from Murphs Kitchen and Al Le Kebab
  • Presentation of prizes to the winners of the Poster Competition on the day of the event. Deadline for submission: January 21, 2026
