Notice of Postponement: Turn Restriction at the Century 21 Roundabout

The National Roads Authority (NRA) Board has announced the postponement of the intended implementation of the left turn only restriction on the north exit of the Century 21 Roundabout when exiting Grand Harbour.

The NRA Board wishes to extend its gratitude for the feedback provided by the public.

It has been agreed with the Minister of Infrastructure that a complete re-assessment of all available options to improve safety and reduce congestion outlined in a recently conducted traffic study of this area, will be considered. We hope the Edgewater connector will be completed during this process. This review and analysis will ensure the optimal course of action is taken for the entire road corridor from the CUC Roundabout to the Red Bay Roundabout, with safety and congestion concerns at the forefront.

We strongly advise the public to exercise utmost vigilance while navigating the Century 21 roundabout and further recommend that motorist who are heading to South Sound or George Town after leaving the Grand Harbour area, mainly during peak congestion periods, exit left, and head to the Red Bay Roundabout and continue to your destination. We are confident that this is the safest route available.
