AIRPORT ROAD/DORCY DRIVE IMPROVEMENT PLANNED - JANUARY 11TH 2008

AIRPORT ROAD/DORCY DRIVE IMPROVEMENT PLANNED - JANUARY 11TH 2008

The National Roads Authority (NRA) will begin construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Dorcy and Owen Roberts Drives (Airport Road) today, Wednesday 16 January.

Dorcy Drive will also be repaved from the Airport Post Office to the Mango Tree bus stop. Road improvements will include a centre turning lane and a continuous sidewalk. The expected completion date is 31 March 2008.

These improvements will enhance traffic flow and increase capacity at the intersection of Dorcy and Owen Roberts Drives. It will also improve motorist and pedestrian safety as they use the roadway to access surrounding facilities such as the post office, Foster’s Food Fair and the airport.
