National Roads Authority (NRA) officials advise that the East-West Arterial (running from Hirst Road to Shamrock Road), is a construction zone and motorists should refrain from using it until it is completed later this year.

“By using the incomplete highway motorists are risking their own safety, that of their passengers, and of those around them,” says NRA Transport Planner Marion Pandohie. “As with the new extension of the Esterley Tibbetts Highway, there are currently no safety control measures on the East-West Arterial.”

The NRA strongly urges motorists to desist from driving on the East-West Arterial while it is under construction.
